BIOGRAPHY

Ex Yugoslavia, Tuzla,  Bosnia-Erzegovina  1995

Fabio MUZZI, photographer and professional journalist, born in Siena on 1964.
He's living in Tuscany and working between Pisa, Rome, Milan,
Paris, London and other european cities.

His archives are composed of reportage and pictures shooted during
25 years of activity: images of landscapes, cities, art, cultur, life stories...
from one of the most beautiful places in the world, The Tuscany.

During these years, he has realized special reportages as :
Evolution of the colors of the Tuscany Landscapes over the four seasons,
Life and work of the Sardinian's shepherds emigrated in Tuscany,
The secular tradition horses's race of the Palio of Siena,
Wine production in Chianti Classico land, from the vintage to the cellar,
The Oil-harvesting, The Stabilization works of the Leaning Tower of Pisa,
The Ancient Roman Boats discovered in the port of Pisa,
The Under Water village of Vagli, that re-emerge from the lake every 10 years.

The ten years spent to realize this reportage on the Stabilization works of the
Leaning Tower, from 1992 to 2001, has produced publishing around the world,
an itinerant photo-exhibition begun on 2003 in USA at the United Nation Palace
in New York, 2004 Canada in Vancouver and 2005 Denmark in Copenaghen.
Expecially for this first exibition in N.Y., has been also published the book titled:
" 1992-2001 : The Stabilization Works of The Leaning Tower".

A special section regards the photojournalism, as during these years
he has realized features for italian and foreign press,
on national and international events as Somalia in 1993, Rwanda in 1994,
Bosnia since 1994 until 1998, Albania in 1997 end Kosowo in 2000.
These pictures have taken part of exhibitions in Italy and abroad.

From his birthday town of Siena he begun the life of photojournalist
working with the regional newspaper LA NAZIONE.(1987 - 1991)
Moved to Pisa town in (1993) he collaborates with the newspaper IL TIRRENO,
he has been correspondent from the Tuscany region for the
italian press agency ANSA (1993 - 1998)
the international press agency ASSOCIATED PRESS (1999 - 2008),
the daily newspaper IL CORRIERE della SERA (1989 - 2008),
and he has been corresponding  for the sport newspaper
CORRIERE dello SPORT STADIO  (since 1995).

He was been official sport photographer for Siena's italian soccer team (1989 - 1999),
Siena's Mens Sana Montepaschi italian basketball team (1990 - 1993),
Fiorentina's italian serie A soccer team and its magazine VIOLA (1991 - 1995),

In foreign countries he is represented by the french agency SYGMA-CORBIS in Paris,
the spanish AGEFOTOSTOCK, the german MAURITIUS,
the english PICTURE  COLOUR  LIBRARY and the londinian CULTURA,
the japanes PACIFIC  PRESS  SERVICE.

From the year 2003 he begun a partnership with international publisher of Caledar as
the italian LEM  ART  GROUP, the german DUMONTE , WEINGARTEN
and GEO SAISONS, the american BARNES & NOBLES.

On September 2008, the english publisher HALSGROVE ltd has printed in exclusive
the book titled " Perfect Tuscany", a 150 full colors pages of his 20 years work
on Tuscany Landscapes on the Four Seasons.

On November 2008, the calendar "Toskana 2009" printed by the german publisher
WEINGARTEN verlag, has received the International Quality Award
as the best quality calendar production in Landscapes category.

From January 2009 he began collaboration with the french international
photo news agency FRANCE PRESSE.

From July 2009 he is one of the official photos supplier of INTOSCANA.IT,
the Official Website of the Tuscan's Regional Council.
